In 1990 Michelle Childers, Vice President East with Apartment Finder begin her career in the Multifamily Industry. Her career began in Birmingham, Alabama as a Leasing Consultant for JMG Realty and advancing to Senior Property Manager prior to pursuing her true passions Sales, Marketing, & Training,
Michelle’s passion for the Multifamily industry has led her to become an advocate for the Multifamily Industry. She sits on several boards including the Alabama Apartment Association, National Apartment Association Suppliers Council and the Greater Birmingham Apartment Association where she is a founding board member and Principle Partner.
Michelle has served as a PAC Ambassador for the National Apartment Association PAC for over 10 years. She spends time traveling the Eastern US and sharing how the decisions in D. C. can directly effect the wallets and lively hood of those employed in the Multifamily Industry.
Michelle attended Auburn University, is a Certified Leasing Professional (CLP), Accredited Residential Manager (ARM), Registered Apartment Manager (RAM), National Leasing Professional (NALP), Certified Apartment Supplier (CAS), and an NAA Lyceum Graduate. Her accolades include 4 time Vendor of the Year Birmingham Apartment Association, 3 time Associate of the Year Birmingham Apartment Association, the recipient of 2 Presidential Awards from the Birmingham Apartment Association, A Member of the NCI Founders Circle and The Apartment Finder Leadership Elite.
Michelle has shared her creative sales, marketing, and fundraising ideas through seminars held for the Multifamily Housing industry across the United States, as well as, her Apartment Finder team mates. Her seminars and training methods have been described as “enthusiastic”, “informative”, and “Fun filled”. Michelle continues to receive the highest ratings for her public speaking and training events. She is full of energy and enthusiasm for the apartment industry and anyone who has met her can see it is where her true passion lies.
