Jennifer Mather Thomas is the Manager of Political Compliance for Johnson & Johnson. Jennifer has been tasked with continuing to build a strong U.S. Political Compliance program focusing on campaign finance and lobbying on both the state and federal levels as well as corporate social responsibility and records management.
Jennifer brings to J&J many years of work in the political compliance sector, in both the corporate and legal sectors. Immediately prior to joining J&J, Jennifer was with the law firm of Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP for 5 years (and one day!) and worked with J&J for all five, focusing on federal lobby compliance, and both state and federal campaign finance. Jennifer also managed political action committees, and implemented and managed campaign finance and lobby compliance programs for many non-profit and corporate clients.
Jennifer began her career in Washington as a Legislative Assistant for Caremark, Rx Inc. (now CVS Caremark) and later worked as Manager of Government Relations at Fleishman-Hillard Government Relations.
Jennifer attended both Louisiana State University and the University of New Orleans, earning a B.A. in General Studies with concentrations in History and Political Science from UNO. Jennifer lives in Fairfax, Virginia with her husband, Rob and her two adorable children, Emily (7) and Andrew (3). In her spare time, she enjoys reading, wine tasting and relaxing with family and friends.
