Chris Conner is the Lead Consultant, Public Affairs at Allstate Insurance Company in Northbrook, IL. Chris leads Allstate’s signature grassroots advocacy program, “Take Your Stand”, for the company’s 70,000 employees, agency owners, financial specialists and other professionals. He also serves as the chief strategist for Allstate’s political action committee, ALLPAC, and for the company’s teen safe driving advocacy efforts.
Chris began his Allstate career leading communication, issues management, and public affairs campaigns in Pennsylvania and the New England states. Notable efforts include Allstate’s re-entry into the Massachusetts market; catastrophe media relations during Hurricanes Irene and Sandy; and the passage of stronger teen driving laws in Pennsylvania.
Prior to joining Allstate, Chris enjoyed nearly a decade in broadcast journalism at CBS News and The Comcast Network producing newscast, segment, special projects and public affairs content. He graduated from The University of Massachusetts Amherst with a B.A. in Journalism. A Philadelphia native, he now resides in Arlington Heights, IL, with his wife, Karen, and their three children.
