Katharine Emerson is the manager of government affairs for Monsanto Company and is based in their Washington, DC office. Katharine manages the Monsanto Citizenship Fund, the company’s political action committee and also works on issues related to food and nutrition security and partnerships.
Prior to joining Monsanto in 2009, Katharine was the senior director of business development for the American Heart Association and worked in political fundraising for the 2004 and 2008 congressional elections. She has her Bachelors degree in Politics from Washington & Lee University in Lexington, Virginia. Born in Cape Girardeau, Missouri, Katharine grew up in Virginia and currently lives in Washington, D.C.
